Drs. Sthay and Parisi met while attending University of Florida Veterinary School and liked each other so much they decided to start a practice together in Asheville serving pets and pet parents in their homes! In some form of divine intervention, they were also able to stay in the area during Hurricane Helene in the fall of 2024 and help some of those that were the hardest hit by the disaster. It was a scary time but an incredibly inspiring experience for them.

“We volunteered at a pop-up emergency clinic in one of the hardest-hit areas, Swannanoa, right after the storm. Being able to offer care for free and focus on helping pets felt really good. Extending that same kind of care through Heal House Call Asheville with support from the Duffield/Petopia grant felt even better. It was refreshing to focus entirely on what the pet needed, not on what the owner could afford. “
