Dr. Heather Meyer earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Minnesota in 2011 and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. She is dedicated to providing the highest quality care for her patients, with special interests in preventive medicine, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and diagnostic ultrasound.

Dr. Meyer is also certified in Fear Free® Veterinary Medicine, helping to minimize fear, anxiety, and stress in pets during examinations and treatment. In March 2020, after spending her entire life in Minnesota, Dr. Meyer and her husband made Colorado their home. She joined Heal House Call Veterinarian in 2022 and is passionate about house-call veterinary medicine because it allows her to build stronger relationships with pets and their families while providing high-quality care in the comfort and familiarity of the pet’s home.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Meyer enjoys spending time with her husband and raising their two sons. Her favorite hobbies include traveling, cooking, horseback riding, and watching football and hockey. She is an active member of her church, where she sings on the worship team. Dr. Meyer is also a member of the Southern Colorado Hunting Retriever Club and spends much of her free time training her two British Labradors for duck hunting and hunt tests. An avid outdoorswoman, Dr. Meyer enjoys camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, snowboarding, and archery. She frequently participates in 3D archery events and appreciates any opportunity to spend time outdoors.
She shares her home with her two British Labradors, Sage and Surly, and her cat, Stormie.
